Wisdom Keys Markets Lagos through Football

In its continued effort to position and market Lagos State as a premium destination brand for business and leisure, Wisdom Keys Nigeria has intensified communications and all relevant activities to make the “FIFA U-17 World Cup”, which started last weekend at Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos a dream come through.

The creative thread of the campaign, now running in the press, radio and TV, was presented by Israel Opayemi, Executive Director, Wisdom Keys Nigeria, to press men, last week, in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Opayemi says: “The TVC expected to be released on Thursday 22, October 2009 was shot right here in Lagos State contrary to the popular trend of Nigerian agencies going to South Africa to shoot TV commercials.”

Explaining the decision to shoot the commercial on the streets of Lagos, he adds: “We are not losing sight of the destination marketing intent of this entire campaign. The strategic direction we agreed with Governor Fashola and his team had to be expressed through a visually impactful TVC as the one we have produced. We are positioning Lagos as premium destination for business and leisure and that will run through the labyrinth of our campaign as demonstrated in the TVC in particular.”

The campaign theme Song, titled, “Welcome to Lagos, the Home of Football” features Sammie Okpozo, Segun Arinze, the sensational female singer, Ego and a host of other upcoming Nigerian musicians.
