Superbrands Nigeria has declared its readiness to launch the 2010/2011 programme. According to Maxwell Marshall, the Project Director, “We have instituted a rigorous and thorough selection process to determine the Superbrands in Nigeria. The programme will include a number of activities and events including the world renowned Superbrands Book and Seal, carefully crafted to pay tribute, recognise and celebrate brands that have been identified as Superbrands.”
Going further, he says, “The previous edition of the Superbrands Book included a comprehensive collection of both indigenous and global brands including Guinness, Ariel, Bailey’s, Nokia, NTA, Siverbird, Western Union, Channels TV, Ovation Magazine, Punch, Coca-Cola, Dangote, DSTV, Johnny Walker, MTN, Indomie, Zenith Bank, Toyota, GTBank and BusinessDay, among others.”
Maxwell also hinted at the inclusion of some value enhancement content to the programme to increase its functionality while boosting benefits to featured brands. In his words, “More information on the programme enhancements will be addressed at the official programme launch on the 10th of March.”
It was revealed that for the 2010/2011 programme, Superbrands will be partnering with AC Nielsen, the world’s leading market research and media information company, to identify the strongest brands in the Nigerian market.
