Sun Newspaper Trudges On

Despite the set back caused by a fire at the Lagos office of Sun newspapers, the management of the publishing house says they are trudging on.
In a chat with M2, Steve Nwosu, editor of Daily Sun made it clear that though the fire is taking its toll, staff will continue to make sure that the paper maintains its presence on the newsstands. “The fire has happened and though we are moving on, it has definitely affected our bottom line. Thank God it did not burn down the press office and since that did not happen, we have been publishing and we will continue to do so.”
Exuding optimism, he says “though its not that we have some money stashed up somewhere, we will begin repairs as soon as we get funds.” He further avers that while the cause of the fire is not yet known, investigations to that effect are still going on.
The fire which became noticeable in the early hours of Monday last week affected the cash office, clinic, Soccer Star office, and the warehouse for newsprint.
