Studio 53 Extra was launched recently in Lagos, promising more glitz, glamour and hot gist on Africa’s hottest fashion and entertainment celebrities across the globe.

The show, which will air on DStv, focuses primarily on the African entertainment industry. It will showcase the latest happenings in music, movies and fashion, as well as live coverage of red carpet events across the continent.
The new programme is an offshoot of STUDIO 53 (named in honour of the 53 countries in the African Union) which launched in 2004 and has toured many countries including Cairo, Tunisia, Namibia and Mali.
The new programme will be anchored by Eku Edewor, a graduate of the New York Film Academy, and Dolapo Oni who trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in the UK. It will air on Thursdays with repeat broadcasts on Sundays.
