The search is now on for the DMC Nigeria DJ that will represent the country in the DMC World DJ Championship, the biggest disk jockey competition on the face of earth.
In a chat with M2, Adeola Ojelabi, creative director, 11th Hour, organizers of the competition says, “Every year, DJ’s from all over the world send representatives to represent their countries at the championships where the winner walks away with prizes worth several thousands of dollars. This year, Nigeria will be participating in the competition and this is why we are organizing our own here so we can have the best represent us at the championships.”
According to him, entrance into the competition is free to all participants as long as they are Nigerians or have lived in the country for a minimum of 6 years. “Audition will be held at three locations within the country and the finals will hold at the Tribeca Niteclub, Lagos , on the 21st of August 2010. The winner will then proceed to London, UK to represent the country at the DMC World Slam coming up on the 17th-18th of October 2010,” he reveals.
