School Proprietors Commend Unilever for Close-Up Day + Night Campaign
Proprietors and Headmasters of Primary Schools in Akure have showered praises on Unilever Nigeria Plc for its contribution to the oral health care of Nigerian Children through the on-going Close-Up Social Mission Day + Night campaign.
The nationwide campaign, currently holding at various primary schools across the Ondo State capital, teaches parents and children the importance of keeping a healthy oral hygiene especially through cultivating the habit of brushing the teeth every day and night. It also emphasises the need for parents to encourage their children to emulate the habit, to avoid any oral or dental related diseases.
Children from several schools trooped out in their hundreds to participate in the Close-Up activation and were engaged in various aspects of the programme, which include a comprehensive tutoring on how to maintain oral health by brushing day and night, the proper way to brush the teeth, as well as some nutritional tips on foods that help prevents mouth odour. Other activities include quiz competition among the children, drama presentations, dancing competition, as well as a question and answer session.
Schools that participated in the campaign included LivingSpring Nursery and Primary School, Goodness of God Foundation School, Achievers Royal Nursery and Primary School, and Oluwafunmilayo and Oyemekun Primary School.
Speaking during one of the campaign shows, Mrs Olufunmilayo Adeniyi, Headmistress of the Goodness of God Foundation School, Oke-Aro, Akure, commended Unilever for the Close-Up Day + Night Initiative.
