Sausage Rolls: Leventis Foods Encourages Dealers

In a move that looks more like a bid to secure and expand its current distribution network, Leventis Foods Co, makers of Meaty sausage roll, is currently rewarding its end-user dealers, M2 open market report reveals.
According to dealers who spoke with M2 last week, the special offer of 3 extra sausage per carton has been running for a few weeks. Emeka and Samson Ekpo, dealers at Iyana-Ipaja and Ikotun axis respectively disclose that the extras is a way of encouraging them (dealers) to keep buying and selling Meaty. Emeka discloses that the additions did not affect the carton content and price. According to him, a carton which ordinally contains 150 pieces still sells at N3900 even with the addition.
Market watchers opine that the growing competition in that segment of the market demands that brands come up with strategic ways to remain relevant or fizzle out.
