SMEDAN Sets Agenda for SME Development in Lagos State

Blessing Nwobodo-

The Lagos State Chapter of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) says it is prepared to take full charge of SME development in Lagos State.
To effectively carry out its plans, the agency will partner with the Lagos state government. According to, Jide Majiyabe, Manager, Business Information Centre, Otigba, “SMEDAN intends to reach out to SMEs in rural areas and also partner with cluster groups to help them access funds from the Bank of Industry (BOI). Already we are working with Cane Weavers in Mende Village and we encourage that SMEs form their own cluster groups. That way, they can easily access loans worth a million naira each from the BOI.”
