NASME Plans Expansion of State Chapters

The Nigerian Association of Small Medium Enterprises (NASME) is making plans to expand state chapters of the association, principally in the Northern states.
Speaking on why the association has  focused on the northern part of the country, the Head, Public Relations and Membership Services, NASME, Nerus Ekezie, explains that “we plan to inaugurate state chapters in the north because we have discovered that the northern states are missing out in SME activities.”
Ekezie equally reveals that the association will partner with the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2010 to fully engender SME growth and put in more efforts in capacity building projects across the nation to empower SME’s with the necessary skills to survive. “We are also looking at setting up incubation centres where start-ups can learn all they need to know about entrepreneurship,” he says.
