MarketingMix Consolidates Position With Unilever

MarketingMix and Company Limited, a Lagos based brand strategy and communications firm, recently consolidated on its reputation in the marketing communication industry. The company has boosted its portfolio with its appointment as Public Relations Consultant for several brands on the stable of Unilever Nigeria Plc.

 

Speaking on this development, the CEO of MarketingMix, Mr Akin Adeoya explained that “this is the result of working as a team with the sole aim of enhancing our perception not just as consultants, but in delivering on our promises to clients.”

 

MarketingMix now provides PR support for Unilever’s Home and Personal Care brands, which include Omo, Sunlight, Lux, and Close Up. Its appointment to provide PR support for these brands came on the heels of the successes achieved by the company on the Omo brand.

 

About a year ago, Unilever entrusted the brand promotion and strategic PR management of the Omo brand in the hands of MarketingMix. And the consultancy, living up to the task, successfully activated various brand and PR activities that yielded tremendous positive results for the brand.

 

Following the involvement of MarketingMix in the pan-Nigeria Omo Wonder show, the brand’s market performance soared, leading to it winning the 2008 edition of the highly rated Consumer Brands Award (COBRAA). In the consumer-centric award, Omo led the field that included other well established competition, including Elephant, and Ariel.

Unilever has over the years distinguished itself for its consistency in the manufacturing industry, with variety of products that have become household names in the various market segments.

 

The choice of MarketingMix as PR Consultant was no doubt a welcome development.
