Despite the setbacks faced by Enugu practitioners in 2009 owing to the indefinite pulling down of their billboards and increase in payable fees, outdoor practitioners operating in Enugu say their business has lots of hope in 2010 .
Mr. Soloo Akugha, Managing Director, Eastwood Advertising Ltd, an outdoor company operating in Enugu, says the worst is over.
“Business will definitely blossom this year more than in the previous, and this is especially true for practitioners who remained in business after our experience last year with the State Ministry of Environment. Though business was slow toward the end of last year, there’s hope for practitioners in 2010,” he says.
Mr. Mike Nwadiora, Managing Director, Esmic International Ltd, an Enugu-based operator, concurring with Akugha, says that “business will be better in 2010.”
However, Nwadiora maintains that fresh ideas, good concepts, innovation and where necessary, diversification, are the necessary ingredients for smooth business this year.
