NBC Commissions Classroom Block in Apapa

Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) recently commissioned yet another block of classrooms at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Primary School , Marine Beach , Apapa, Lagos .
James Lafferty, NBC’s managing director, represented at the commissioning ceremony by Gbenga Lukan, the Apapa plant manager, says the company’s investment in the school is informed by its principle of contributing to the sustainable development of its host communities. According to him, NBC provides support for its host communities along the lines of the identified themes of education/youth development, access to safe water/management of water resources and health. “These three areas have proven time and again to be the major building blocks of any society,” he states.
The commissioning was witnessed by the representative of the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Princess Adebisi Sarah Sosan, Gbolahan Daodu, executive chairperson, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); Samuel Adesola, executive chairman of Apapa/Iganmu Local Council Development Area; Baale of Marine Beach, Chief Joseph Ogunmola; Parish Priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, as well as students and members of the community.
