Milo Delves into Football with Rufai

After many years of driving its brand awareness and marketing in Nigeria through basketball, Nestle Milo has extended its efforts to football under the Milo Football Clinic programme spearheaded by Peter Rufai, former Super Eagle’s goalkeeper.
Martin Woolnough, MD, Nestle Nigeria who made this known in Lagos , says; “As you all know, Milo has proven to be Nigeria’s leading sports development partner over the years. Football is a passion for many Nigerians, but this interest has shifted to the need to satisfy the hunger for quality football. It is my hope that Milo Football Clinic will enhance football development in Nigeria and bring back the glorious days of football.”
Asked whether Milo’s identification with football would not affect its sponsorship of the annual basketball tournament, Woolnough says; “We assure you that our interest and contribution to football will not in any way derail our Nigerian basketball vision. This football clinic with Peter Rufai is another opportunity for our company to make valuable contributions to the development of sports at the grassroots level in the country.”
The maiden edition of the Football Clinic will hold only in Lagos for now and be expanded to other parts of the country in the near future.
