Lumal Anti-Malaria Drug, the newest baby from SKG Pharma recently unveiled by the wife of the Lagos State Governor Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, has been endorsed by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Speaking at the event, NAFDAC Director General, represented by Ololade Alabi, a senior official of the Agency, said that the Agency “is endorsing the drug due to the positive result of the investigation and test that Lumal was subjected to,” describing SKG Pharma as a company with a good record in the manufacturing of high quality pharmaceutical products.
According to Rachael Ogo, the brand manager, SKG Pharma Trade, Lumal is a fixed dose of two anti-malaria active agents, Artemisinin derivative and Lumefantrine, which she says provides rapid and effective treatment of multi-drug resistant malaria infections caused by plasmodium falciparum.
