The LG outlet manager in Nigeria has cleared the skepticisms surrounding the entry of Mini LG GD880 into the market. He also says the product was launched in the European market this month.
M2 gathers that LG Electronics showcased LG Mini (GD880), the worlds’ first feature phone to support 3-Way sync service, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The phone features the new LG’s 3-Way sync service, called LG Air Sync, a next-generation mobile technology allowing users to continually sync the data on their phones with information stored on their PCs and their browser history over a wireless network. In other words, photos, video, calendars and phone books can be updated and accessed at all times.
“We live in an information-oriented society with vast amounts of data and content scattered all over the place. Because of this, one of the major battles in future mobile markets is likely to be in the data management technology industry, focusing on seamless access among different devices”.
LG Mini responds to this trend by using a form of cloud computing only available on smartphones until now. LG Air Sync works in three ways: through its History Sync function, the Personal Information Manager (PIM) Sync function, and R-Click function; enabling browser updates, contacts synchronizing with PCs and information and multimedia content transfers respectively.
