Due to the ban on posters and the forth coming electioneering campaigns, the Lagos State Signage and Adverting Agency (LASAA) has warned politicians who would like to run their election campaigns to desist from littering the environment with indiscriminate posting of posters.
Speaking with M2, Mr. Temitope Akande, Public Relations Manager, LASAA, posits that the law will not pardon anybody who goes against it. “We are installing poster boards at strategic locations in every local government. These are the only places approved by the government for poster pasting. With proper approval from LASAA, posters can be pasted there, for a definite time frame,” he says.
Akande went further to emphasize that defaulters will face the law, advising that proper procedures be followed.
Outdoor practitioners concurring with the agency’s declaration advised that politicians should make use of other forms of adverting apart from Posters.
