INPRES Promises to Reposition the Nigerian Police

Independent National Police Recognition for Exemplary Service (INPRES) has indicated its willingness to reposition the police force in the minds of Nigerians by recognizing and rewarding few officers who have done some outstanding jobs.
During a press briefing in Lagos, Stanley Adiele, MD, Goodways Communications says: “In the last 50 years, Nigeria has transformed quite significantly in many aspects of her national life. For the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), this transformation does not come without its own challenges.
“However, in spite of the general crisis that has bedevilled the Force, there still exist hordes of officers that are shining examples of the best in global practices in professional and ethical policing.”
Going further, he says: “In that regard, INPRES will ride on the back of a massive deployment of all the popular media of mass communication to galvanize the police and the citizenry to make nominations and subsequently reward chosen outstanding police officers in different categories pencilled for recognition.”
He was however convinced that the recognition and reward of few committed officers will bridge the gap between the Nigerian police and the citizens thereby repositioning them (the police) in the minds of Nigerians and the world at large.
