Greensprings Schools Markets through Ambassadorship
Chris Olisa-
Greensprings Schools is using the novel model of student ambassadorship for successful marketing. This business model is fostered by close relationship with pupils/students and their parents with the children and their parents spreading word about the school, bringing about growth in every area.
Mrs Lai Koiki, the school’s founding director, disclosed this at the 25th anniversary celebration of the school held at its Anthony Campus on Thursday January 21, 2010. Paula Coker, the principal of pre-secondary/ elementary school of the institution revealed another unique proposition of the school saying: “We raise happy children. They want to come to school daily. The children and their parents market the school.”
These unique marketing strategies have seen the school grow from just three pupils in 1985 to thousands with two campuses presently. Owing to the continuous growth, the school has opened another campus at Aja to give more people access to quality education.
M2 gathered that the school tries to foster a sense of community, an eroding value in Africa among the pupils and staff. The management of the school is hoping that through quality training/upbringing the minority will make positive impact on the majority.
Other members of the school’s management team at the media parley for the 25th anniversary include Richard Woods, head Anthony campus and Funmi Bolarin, principal secondary school.
