Rebrand 100 Global Awards Welcomes Nworah on Board
Uche Nworah, a brand scholar and communication strategist, has been appointed to the Rebrand 100 Global Awards jury. Rebrand 100 Global Awards is the highest, juried recognition for brand repositioning.
Nworah, a former Senior Lecturer in Marketing Communications and Business Strategy at the London Metropolitan University Business School is said to be the second black African to be so appointed in the award’s six year history, following South Africa’s branding icon and Brand Leadership founder, Thebe Ikafeleng.
Before leaving Nigeria for the UK he was at various times Head of PR & Events at Sunrise D’Arcy, Group Head of Internal Communications and later Group Head of Training at Oceanic Bank International Plc, where he headed the Oceanic Leadership Academy.
He received the Jack Petchey Leadership Award in 2007 for his outstanding work with young people in the UK, The Chickenbones Writer of the Year (2006) Award for his witty and incisive writing about Nigeria and Africa related issues and the Distinguished Alumni Award of the Business Education Examinations Council (BEEC) in 2008.
