Omo Stain Challenge Campaign Designed To Touch Lives – Unilever
Beyond promoting the Omo brand, the ongoing nationwide ‘Omo Stain Challenge’ campaign is designed to touch every aspect of the consumers’ lives. This was disclosed at a media interactive session with the Assistant Communications Manager, Unilever Plc, Mr. Atoyebi Femi, penultimate weekend.
Speaking at the event which took place at Hotel 1960, Ikeja, Mr. Atoyebi said that the campaign, among other things, is about educating Omo consumers on how to get the best from the product, bursary awards and celebration of icons in the entertainment industry.
The activation campaign for Omo Multi-active washing powder kicked off in Lagos few weeks back, being driven by Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, and will run for six weeks.
The campaign, scheduled to continue at some designated areas in Lagos, features visits to homes by the campaign team led by the star actress. Where Omo is found, the woman of the house is invited for a washing exercise. During the exercise the participants are made to soak clothes with dried-in stains in Omo solution for 15 minutes and wash afterwards to get a clean wash. At the end of the exercise the participants are presented with cash awards.
Mr. Atoyebi also used the medium to debunk the claim in some quarters that there are two classes of Omo: one meant for the northern consumers and the other for the south, emphasizing that there is only one Omo.
