Mmachukwu Clinches 2010 Maggi Cook for Mama Award

The final curtains for Nestle Nigeria Maggi Cook for Mama 2010 national cooking competition has been drawn with Offiah Mmachukwu of Holy Rosary College, Enugu State, clinching the first position.
Three secondary schools – Holy Rosary Girls College, Enugu State; Ilimi College, Gombe State; and Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos State competed in the grand finale at the Eko Hotel & Suits, Ikoyi, Lagos .
Uduak Bassey, Category Business Manager (Culinary), in her address to students from different schools said the annual cooking competition is positioned to inculcate good cooking and eating habits among young people and their families. “We at Nestle Nigeria want to assure you that Maggi Cook for Mama has come to stay,” she assured them.
She is equally optimistic that the 2010 edition of the competition will further strengthen the bond between mothers and their children. “We are very hopeful that this cooking competition will go a long way to enhance the existing attachment between Nigerian mothers and their children which Maggi has created,” she said.
Muawiyya Hindatu of Ilimi College, Gombe, took the 2nd position while Omeghie Damilola Okoyomoh of Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Lagos , came 3rd.
