Imported Aluminium Products Forces Price Down

Contrary to the trend of prices of commodities going up every year, prices of Aluminium prodcts have fallen considerably over the years, M2 market survey can authoritatively reveal. This trend according to dealers is as a result of improvement in the quality and texture of imported aluminium products which was said to be of lower quality than the locally manufactured ones.
Offering a better explanation, Benson Abrifor, Director of Operations, Apex Aluminium Ltd., says that initially indigenous aluminium companies like Tower Aluminium and First Aluminium produced better quality of aluminium which were more suited for our climate though they are more expensive.
Going further, Benson explains that over the years foreign producers have improved on their quality while the price still remains lower. This, Benson says, has gained the attention of buyers thereby forcing indigenous producers to bring down their prices in order to retain their market.
