Ikeja Business Owners Backs Community Policing

The Area ‘F’ Command of The Nigerian Police, Lagos State has reassured business owners and residents of Ikeja of its commitment to protect them, their businesses and their customers.

Mr. Noah Adesoyin, Area ‘F’ Commander, who made this pledge at a meeting with the residents and business owners, said that the recent upsurge in crime in the area will soon be a thing of the past.

“Several reports reaching us in recent times show that the spate of crime especially with the aid of motorcycle operators in Ikeja is on the rise. But I want to assure you that this will be a thing of the past very soon,” he says.

Mr. Adesoyin, however, warns that this can hardly be achieved without the full support of the community who knows more of the black spots in the area than the police.

At the meeting, a total of six motor bikes were donated by different business owners to aid the police command in its surveillance of the ‘black spots’.
