According to Brand Manager, Guinness Extra Smooth, Mr. Chidozie Nwokoye, the Nigerian version of the worldwide event will hold at the Ocean View in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event is designed to thank and reward Guinness drinkers for their loyalty, and also to recognize the 250 years of Guinness Greatness.

As part of its global celebration of 250 years of the brand’s remarkable heritage and brand’s long standing role in local communities, Guinness is also launching the Arthur Guinness Fund. Mr. Nwokoye explained that Guinness will donate 6 million Euros to the Arthur Guinness Fund, which will be active from September 2009. “The Arthur Guinness Fund is being launched to complement our existing Water of Life programme which helps enrich the lives of many communities here in Nigeria, by improving access to clean and safe water, contributing to improved health, education levels and reducing poverty,” Nwokoye stated.
