Glaxosmithkline Receives Commendation

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), makers of Macleans Toothpaste, have received commendation for its at creating awareness on the need for conscious oral dental care.

The commendation came from the University of Ibadan Dental Association, at a Community on Dental Education Health (CODEH) program, held recently in Ibadan recently.

GSK’s premium toothpaste brand “Macleans” partnered with the University of Ibadan Dental Association, one of the units of CODEH, to take a free screening exercise to Aleshinloye and Bodija Markets in Ibadan, where the public were sensitized on the need to develop a good habit by taking care of their oral cavity.

Speaking at the screening, Chairman, Care-Taker Committee, Unibadan Dental Association, Chijioke Iwuala, says that “dental associations have experienced neglect in the past. This has contributed to high cases of oral diseases in our society.” He also states that the partnership with Macleans has immeasurably contributed to educating people on ways to care for oral cavity.

In her remarks, Brand Manager, Macleans, Toyin Yusuf, says the company’s vision is to improve the quality of life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer.
