Spronks Boisson Palais, a Lagos, Nigeria-based drinks consultancy outfit penultimate week held the first ever Nigeria wine and spirits festival in Lagos . The event presented numerous wine connoisseurs and tasters of smooth spirits an opportunity to gather and celebrate good taste from different brands.
At the occasion, Aderonke Sobodu, the CEO of Spronks Boisson Palais, the event organizers, said that “over the years, wine and spirit have evolved to be a major part of the Nigerian social scene. On a daily basis we consume thousands of litres of wines and spirits thereby making us proud stakeholders in this multi billion naira industry. Even as there seems to be no statistics available to gauge consumption pattern and brands of wines and spirits in Nigeria, it is said that Nigeria is one of the highest consumers of wines and spirits in Africa .”
M2 gathers that the festival was put together to raise awareness about the place of wines and spirits, and promote a culture of merrymaking.
