Fashola Admonishes Media Practitioners, Commends TWF

Following the screening session of Funmi Iyanda’s new talk show, TWF (Talk With Funmi), Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, who was present at screening that held at Silverbird Galleria, penultimate weekend, has made a call to media practitioners to project Nigeria’s image positively.

Explaining his reasons, he says, “For too long other people have been telling our story which has not been of great benefit to us and that is why we need to project ourselves to the world in positive light. We need to tell our own story and that cannot happen if we do not appreciate the power of the media and put it to good use.”

Describing the innovative TV show as “a lonely path to walk”, Governor Fashola admonishes that more people should join the move to tell good stories about Nigeria because “one person cannot do it alone.”

Talk With Funmi, which will capture the Nigerian story by focusing on the people, their attitude, lifestyle and opinion on various issues will be broadcast on Africa Magic, Magic World and some Nigerian TV stations.
