Chibuzor Patrick, CEO, Meljenstin PR & Events, has advised SMEs to use PR to complement their marketing activities. According to her, most SMEs often forget the unique role which PR plays in giving their businesses mileage depending only on marketing to push sales.
Patrick notes that while marketing gives a strong edge to business, PR is necessary to complement the efforts. “Every company knows that if you don’t have a sound and grounded PR backing, a lot of things are bound to go wrong. It is the PR practitioner that helps keep your intra-personal relationships intact and also help with your inter-personal communications before you can mass communicate,” she explains.
