Dangote Unveils Noodles; Dazzles with Ready to Eat and Snack Variants
Dangote Group Plc, last Thursday, officially unveiled their brand of noodles which comes in three variants of Instant noodles, Snack noodle and Ready to eat noodles at their factory complex in Ikorodu, a historic suburb of Lagos State.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony the president and chairman of the Group Alhaji Aliko Dangote said that the introduction of the noodle is in line with the Groups tradition of giving Nigerians quality foods having observed the salient habit of Nigerian consumers.
Addressing the press during the event Mr. ‘Yinka Oletubo, GM Sales and Marketing, Dangote Noodles said that the journey of noodles which began in 1990 has just been stepped up with the introduction of Ready to eat (RTE) and snacks variants enriched with in-house manufactured seasoning with real chicken base and locally sourced spices.
The new noodles come in metalized film, a pack which is said to facilitate storage and distribution while maintaining the taste, smell and texture of the food.
Mr. Rohit Chaudry, MD/CEO, Dangote Flour while speaking at the event said that the instant noodles variant will sell for N35 per unit, while the Ready to eat which is the flagship of the brand will sell for N40 per unit.
According to Aliko Dangote the Lagos, Calabar and Kano factories were opened simultaneously on Thursday.
