CMCIN Emphasizes Media’s Role in Rebranding Nigeria
Following the Integrated Marketing Communications and stakeholders’ retreat organized by The Certified Marketing Communications Institute of Nigeria (CMCIN), stakeholders have concluded that the role of the media in the rebranding Nigeria project cannot be overemphasised.
In a chat with M2, Olu Oyewole, pioneer executive Vice President of CMCIN, pointed out that the media is the avenue through which the activities geared towards rebranding can be communicated to the people. “To convey the integrated vehicles that will be adopted in the rebranding Nigeria exercise, a well articulated media has to be involved in conveying these messages. Without the media, awareness cannot be achieved.”
During the event, Kenny Adenugba, MD/ CEO Metaphore Communications Ltd and Rasheed Bolarinwa, Head, Brand Management, Cornerstone Insurance Plc, spoke on issues pertaining to the IMC industry and the rebranding process. The event, which also doubled as a special induction & award ceremony, had the theme ‘Challenges of Integrated Marketing Communications & Rebranding Process in the 21st century’.
