BusinessDay Holds Procurement Seminar

As part of its efforts to improve market competitiveness in Nigeria, BusinessDay Newspaper, in conjunction with Sangora, a procurement exchange company, will hold an executive session on business procurement on the 17th of November 2009. Tagged ‘Aligning Strategy And Procurement To Achieve Corporate Objectives’, the session will have executives such as Managing Director’s, CEO’s, Executive Director’s and Purchasing and Supply Chain Managers in attendance. Various business issues such as best practices in supplier management, ways to organize and use cross-functional teams to deliver targets, reinventing and building responsive purchasing organisation models and the talent factor in procurement will be discussed during the seminar. Facilitators who will be speaking at the event include Engr. Emeka Eze, Director General, Bureau of Procurement; Guy Kent, Supply Chain Manager, Shell Nigeria; George Ikemefuna, Purchasing Manager of Great Brands; and Frank Ojadi of Lagos Business School.
