Advertising Budgets Blamed for Crawling Business

An outdoor practitioner has blamed the delay in advertising budgets by clients as the major reason business is yet to pick up in the industry.
Speaking with M2, Mr. Tunde Adedoyin, Managing Director, Mediaviews Ltd, says the month of January is usually a period when clients draw their budgets and this slows down business during the period. “Business is crawling. This is because clients are still working on their budget. The spending will start when the budget is in place,” he says. He however points out that business will normalize by the end of the month.
Asked if he foresees an improvement on advertising budgets for the year, Adedoyin says “There is hope that the advertising budgets mapped out by advertisers will increase this year. The worst is almost over in the industry; so we are looking forward to a great year of doing business with modern and quality materials.”
