YIDC Organizes Dance Concert for Mothers

Yana Inspiration Dance Company, in a bid to promote dancing culture amongst mothers, last week, organized a 4-day intensive dance and performing arts workshop titled “Mummy too can dance” for mothers from the ages of 21 to 50 years of age.
Mrs. Phoebe Imafidone, founder and Artistic Director of Yana Inspiration Dance Company, told M2 that the initiative was geared towards celebrating the Nigerian Mother through the performing arts.
“It is a dance workshop organized specially for mothers who want to get their acts back or who have been yearning for the opportunity to learn the dance. That is why our company has decided to create a platform for mothers to get their groove on and unwind despite their busy schedule,” she told M2.
The workshop was in two parts. The first was the 3 days of intensive training session which held from August 26th-28th, while the second part, which held on August 29th was time for the concert which showcases a parade of the finest choreography done by mothers only.
