Kiss Music Signs Up Skuki

Perhaps Kiss Music CEO, Bayo Odusami, popularly known as Howie T, might have discovered the next big music duo in Nigeria. Howie T believes the duo, named Skuki, have everything it will take to level up with the big players in Nigeria’s music industry, and, in demonstration of this, has signed up the singing duo for management.

Coming from a man who discovered P Square, who are today one of the biggest forces to reckon with in Nigeria as far as music is concerned, in 2001, Skuki is certainly the duo to be watched closely.

Skuki, made up of brothers Tumi and Atewo, are presently under the record label of Daphella Entertainment.

They developed interest in music shortly after they graduated from secondary school and, even after separating to study in different universities, their dream of music did not die.

Wondering how they came about the name ‘Skuki’? “It’s just a name that spontaneously came to our mind. But the name represents who we are, young, vibrant and fun loving,” Tumi says.

Skuki’s debut single ‘Fire’ stayed on the Africa Edition of the Channel O top 10 Chart for four months and was number 1 for four consecutive weeks.

Their debut album is expected to be released soon. But currently, they have two singles on air – ‘Stamina’, featuring Mo’Cheddah, and ‘Banger’, featuring DJ Zeez. They have worked with producers like J.Martins and ID Cabasa.
