Future Awards Takes Tour across Nigeria

The Future award has continued in its national tour of the six geo political zones in Nigeria. After a trip to Abuja, Kaduna and Yola, it is progressing to Enugu , and Port Harcourt, taking its youth town hall meetings to these places. The awards, which are under the umbrella of the Future Project, have tried to reach young people through its projects, ensuring that the message goes through them and make them ambassador in their own communities.

According to the creative director, Chude Jideonwo, “For many years, what we have done is try to mirror the breakthroughs that young people have made in different fields and to sustain them. However, this year, we decided we have gotten to a level where we can take this further and stimulate activity in the field of science as well as draw attention, and ultimately support, to that small random army of young Nigerians across the country who are working in spite of the debilitating lack of structure in science – with innovation or invention.”
