Dele Calls out to ANTP Elders

tibit-31Star actor, Dele Odule, has described the call by a group in the Association of Nigeria Theatre Art Practitioners (ANTP) asking him to step down from aspiring  to be the number one man in the association in favour of his contender, Evans Asaolu, as uncalled for.  According to him, “It is a total disregard for the constitutional provision of the association. I am still in the race, I can’t withdraw for Asaolu. If he is capable and competent, they should allow the two of us to test our popularity among our colleagues; not for a few people to gather and call themselves elders of ANTP.”
He adds that there are other elders in the association, and seven people cannot determine the fate of the association via what he described as a kangaroo arrangement. Insisting on his candidacy, Odule asserts: “I can’t step down at all.”
